This fashion brand founded in 2014 with a mission that truly resonates, making stylish and beautiful clothing accessible to everyone. The core philosophy is simple: centre people in everything they do, ensuring that fashion is for all. 

The journey began when founder Katie Ellis, a former fashion buyer at White Stuff, faced a personal challenge. Her grandmother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and Katie was determined to support her in maintaining her independence. When Katie's grandmother expressed her frustration about needing help to get dressed, feeling as though she was losing her dignity, it sparked a powerful idea. Katie recognized the absence of fashionable yet functional clothing for individuals who struggle with self-dressing and assisted dressing. The Able Label was born.

Fashion to Fill the Void

A brand dedicated to meeting the huge gap in the fashion industry, by creating this  adapted fashion line, Katie set two key design goals: to eliminate overhead dressing and to avoid fiddly zippers. These pivotal decisions ensures that everyone, including those facing mobility challenges, can wear The Able Label with ease. The collection has grown impressively since its inception, starting with women's wear and expanding to include menswear, outerwear, and seasonal items. Each piece is crafted with wearers and caregivers in mind, focusing on making self-dressing and assisted dressing quicker, easier, and safer. The fabric choices are of high quality, and the designs feature discreet adaptive elements along with innovative fastenings and hidden extras tailored for those who may have restricted movement or limited dexterity.
